I have already called your number, after hours, and requested a service call for tomorrow. The person on the phone said she would have a technician contact me sometime tomorrow.
I received a call from a technician 15 minutes after I got off the phone. The technician, Shawn suggested I try to clean the “glow plug”? After taking about 15 minutes of his time, after hours at about 8 pm he was able to explain to me how to locate the sensor, remove it, clean it and replace. Please take in mind; I had to ask him to repeat himself a couple of times due to my own incompetence. I followed his instructions and turned the furnace back on. It stayed on and appears to be working fine!!
I am writing this note because this is the second time this type of customer service has happened to me with Johnson. The first was during the summer sometime around July when we were experiencing server100+ degree days. Our air was running nonstop and our house temp was running near 80.
I was unable to meet the service tech that came out the next day after our call, which again is appreciated as I am sure Johnson was receiving several calls a day. But the tech was able to meet with my wife. I was sure I would have to come home to a new a/c. My wife called and said the tech said the Freon was good and due to the extreme temps a normal a/c is not able to cool the house but since it was keeping around 80 it was working fine.
This type of customer service is unbelievable. Thank you for your time and assistance! We bought our house a few years ago and decided to call Johnson because they had their service sticker in place and mostly because of your support to Our Lady of the Greenwood Church.

Thanks to Johnson Heating for responding the same day for my service call. The technician, Tim, was efficient and professional. Tim had my furnace repaired within a couple of hours, even though he had to get parts from the east side of Indy.
I wanted to thank Johnson Heating and Cooling for continuing to go above and beyond my expectations. They installed a new main H&A unit for my home and a smaller unit for our sun room. After that much installation, your next fear is how will they respond to follow-ups after the sale. I can say they were very prompt and quickly took care of a couple minor follow-ups. Even now a couple of months later, I had a related issue I talked to them about and they took care it without question. I picked Johnson because I wanted to support and help business in our local economy. It’s nice to know there are still people who live and work in your own town who truly appreciate your business and exceed your expectations. Thanks Johnson. You have a customer for life.

A big HOO-RAH goes out to Johnson Plumbing, and HVAC for the fantistic job they did for me today. I just bought and moved into my house not even 3 weeks ago and already had plumbing problems. After calling another company and spending over $100. the problem returned. So I called Johnsons and they fixed the problem and gave me a yearly contract both for my plumbing and my HVAC. Thank you so much Jason for all the trouble you went to, to fix my problem.. I will recommend you to anyone who needs service…
JOHNSON HVAC UNDERSTANDS TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
I had new HVAC unit installed by Johnson last year. When I went to change the filter- I noticed a leak coming from the unit. The Service Team Member responded quickly- and sent a tech to stop the leak. They also informed me that they would need to schedule time to remove the entire unit in order to be sure that the leak would not re-occur AND to repair the flooring where the water had done damage.
Everyone expects a company to fix the problem. Johnson HVAC has the integrity and customer service know-how to do the right thing- even when it cost them a lot of time and effort!!! They truly think long-term and they will have my business and my word-of-mouth referrals until that changes!

My mother used Johnson Heating and Cooling to install a furnace and central air conditioner along with annual service. We were very pleased with the service given to her for over 20 years. As a result they were my first choice if they had experience in boiler heating systems, and they do! Our system was old, outdated and inefficient. A technician from Johnson came to our home and discussed with us the problems with the old system and recommended a new, efficient system. As a precautionary measure, they even sent a mechanical engineer to assess and verify the correct size of the unit to be installed. Installation was conducted in a professional manner with attention to protecting and keeping work and traffic areas clean. After installation, they followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the performance of the unit on several different occasions. We were very happy with Johnson’s professionalism at all levels and highly recommend them.

Much as we hated to say “goodbye” to an old “friend”, Donna and I knew it was time to replace our 26 year old Trane HVAC system. Since it had lasted for so long, Trane was the product of choice for the new equipment. After a detailed research of local companies we decided on Johnson Heating and Cooling.
A service team member came out to assist in our choices. I had met this technician previously and was impressed with his integrity even before he arrived. He did a thorough walk-through of the house, listened carefully to our concerns and goals we hoped to achieve with the new system. These included purchasing a highly efficient system; one that would offer lower monthly bills as well as improve the air quality in the home. Since Donna has asthma, the better air was a “must-have”. Also of concern was the dust that accumulated in our 65 year old home.
He recommended a Hybrid system (heat pump with gas backup), a new humidifier, a new programmable thermostat and the Trane Clean Effects. The price quote was well within the competitive local market range. Included was a complete duct cleaning.
The new system was installed 15 November 2010 by some of the best workers I have dealt with!
In a month’s time we have noticed GREATLY improved air quality and an excellent system overall. It is too soon to factor the energy savings, but I expect there will be savings. Because of the new installation, I was able to get better rates from both the gas and electric companies.
To answer some questions and make an adjustment of the air flow, another technician came to the house today. A most capable person, he quickly made the necessary adjustments to the circuit board and answered all the questions we had.
I cannot recommend Johnson Heating and Air enough! This is a very professional company- one that will serve your needs to the utmost! From the telephone receptionists to the crew that does your install you will find nothing but the best.
It has been a pleasure doing business with each and every one of them!

Dear Johnson Heating and Cooling,
Our son Chase has Cystic Fibrosis, Celiac Disease and Cirrhosis of the Liver due to his CF. For the last six months to a year we have fought sinus infection after infection with antibiotics to make him better. We would go awhile and be ok and then we would make a turn for the worse and be back on antibiotics.
Alison and I came to a decision to look into a new filter system for the house. I had heard an advertisement for Johnson Heating and Cooling during the Dave Ramsey show and thought of calling them and asking them for a quote. A good friend also recommended them.
After calling Brian, a time was set-up for him to come and make an assessment of our current system. This was a Thursday I believe. He came in and introduced himself and started looking at what we had. The condenser unit was only 3 years old and Brian said we would not need to replace the unit and that it was a good one to have. He did recommend that we get the Clean Effects filter system and a new furnace set-up. Our old one was in bad shape. This was accomplished in less than two hours.
The technicians came the following Tuesday and installed the system. Plus they even cleaned the ductwork for us.
The system has worked great since installation. We have not noticed the cobwebs hanging from the vents or much dust settling on our hard surfaces. We have even noticed that with this time of season our allergies inside the house are no where near what they could be. The reason we installed the system was to see if this would help alleviate some of Chase’s sinus symptoms. So far we have not had any problems with that.
Johnson Heating and Cooling will be my only choice for us next time. They are courteous, professional and just down to earth with information to help you make a decision. And now I consider them a friend.

What a difference a flood makes! I know you are probably thinking, “What would a flood have to do with heating and air conditioning?” In our case there was a definite connection with excellent results for our church. On January 16, 2009, a sprinkler head froze and burst in the entryway to our church, Indianapolis Christian Fellowship. It took several hours to turn off the water, and we received substantial flood damage to our main building. We discovered on the following Thursday that we had another problem created by the flood that we had not been aware of.
We have a second building, much older, that we had rented for years to another church, but they had moved out so we had been using it for garage sales for our members. Due to the season, we had winterized it with plans to open in the spring when sales started up again. In our haste to try and turn off water in the main building, we had accidently turned on the water to the second building and did not know it for seven days. Needless to say, we incurred substantial damage to that facility upstairs and down.
Now we will cover the heating air conditioning connection. We had an original installation “huge” oil furnace in the basement of the older building which heated the front portion of the building. During the flood, the water drained down the duct work and created enough issues that it needed to be replaced. This is where Johnson Heating and Cooling came to the rescue. They were very thorough in evaluating our anticipated usage of the facility and the necessary adjustments needed to provide for our needs. We were able to take out the furnace which weighed seven hundred pounds or so (It was huge!) and replace it with a large Trane air conditioner/furnace unit that has worked perfectly. Not only were we able to add air conditioning to that area, but we also changed from an inefficient (to say the least) oil furnace to a Trane LP Gas furnace.
With the addition of the air conditioning and furnace, we have been able to use the facility year round thanks to the reliable service provided by Johnson Heating and Cooling. We would highly recommend their company to any one with normal and/or “unusual” needs. Their professionally trained personnel did a great job and we have benefited greatly. To their efficient staff we say, “Thanks for a job well done.”

Before purchasing a new Trane furnace and heat pump from Johnson Heating and Cooling, I had never done business with them in the past, although I had met with with a technician when I was looking to replace my water heater. I was impressed with his integrity and knowledge and decided to give Johnson a chance to quote the new HVAC system, even though I had been doing business with another company for years.
Long story short; Johnson got my business. The installation was professional and on time, a couple of minor issues were handled efficiently, there were no surprises on price-which was better than the quote I was given as a” loyal” customer from my old HVAC company.
I make my living as a customer service consultant, and every interaction I’ve had with Johnson heating and cooling has exceeded my expectations. I give them my highest recommendation.

I would like to give JH&C another ‘attaboy’. This is the second time I have used them to install a new system in a property that we are reselling. By working together to understand each other’s expectations, I now just ask a service team member to review the property, determine the scope of the project and then price it. Without fail, his analysis is in line with my expectations. This saves me time needing to meet him at the property. The technicians do a first class job of installation. I am posting today to tell a story that you rarely hear. Service that went beyond my expectations. I have lived in greenwood for the past 13 years and in this house for the last eight. All of the last eight years I have been a customer of a competitor of Johnson Heating and Cooling. Not anymore. I was told by “the competitor” that I needed a new heat exchanger and that mine was cracked and leaking carbon monoxide. The cost for the parts and labor along with the tax benefits and gas savings pushed me into looking at a whole new furnace. On the advice of my brother in law I called a few companies to get other quotes on a new furnace. One of the companies I called was J. H. & C.
An advisor came to the house and after asking some questions thought it might be a good idea to have one of his techs take a look at the furnace to make sure I needed a new furnace or heat exchanger. He also used his carbon monoxide detector to see if there was any present. He called one of his techs (Tim) who was at my house within 15 minutes and after a good look at the furnace determined that there were no cracks and my 17 year old furnace was actually running very well.
The point to the whole story is that the team at J.H. & C. did not try to “fool” me into a new system, nor were either of them “pushy”, they were just HONEST. And they left my house not selling me a thing, TODAY!! I am sure within the next 3-5 years I will need to replace the furnace AND my 8 year old air conditioner and there will be no doubt in my mind who I will call to do the work. The HONEST guy’s. In the mean time they will get my business on my yearly cleanings and if I have a plumbing problem I now know who to call.

Just wanted to let every one know how pleased I am with my new Trane HVAC system from Johnson Heating and Cooling. My home comfort consultant, was very much to the point with out wasting much of my time. Work was done quickly, protection of my home from damage was taken seriously, and all my questions after the install were answered. I can highly recommend.
I want to thank Johnson Heating and Cooling for the exemplary job they did on the installation of our new Trane Heat Pump (air handler and air conditioner). We were very pleased with our original 24-year-old Trane heat pump, which was still working quite well, but with efficiencies so much higher now and the tax credits that are available, we decided to install a new Trane system. The installing technicians, Rick and Jay, were professional, polite and meticulous. The install looks as if it was done when the house was built. The most noticeable improvement is how quiet the new unit is. They ought to change the slogan to … “Its hard to hear a Trane”. Once again, I commend Johnson H&C and their staff. Thank you.
